A controversial figure from South Yorkshire in England, Marlene Guest is running as candidate for the extreme-right British National Party.
Guest is the local organiser for the party, and one of its most active members. She has stood as a BNP councillor at five different elections, but has never been elected. Most recently, Guest drew the condemnation of Yorkshire's Jewish community - several of whom are Holocaust survivors - after claiming that "dentistry and plastic surgery" were positives to come out of the Holocaust, and questioning the scale of the genocide. "If they'd have kept the crematorium going 24/7 for 50 years, they still couldn't have burnt that amount of bodies," she said.
After the programme was aired in January, the BNP congratulated Guest on her television appearance.
